DEPARTMENT OF Forensic Medicine

The Department of Forensic Medicine at Dhaka National Medical College was established in 1994. It has well equipped labs, classes and a well-organised museum. It has a full-time operational staff library, a large student laboratory, spacious demo room with OHP and LCD projectors which can comfortably accommodate 130 students.

There are nine medico-legal experts in the department including the HOD. The department uses innovative learning methods like self-learning modules, integrated teaching and interactive sessions.

There is a separate mortuary block with modern equipment and a capacity to undertake two cases at a time. It can accommodate 130 students.
